Annual Giving Fund
Our Annual Giving campaign is the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts at WSP. Annual Giving contributions are essential to the day-to-day operations of the school, and help fill the gap in our operating budget that is not covered by tuition and other fees. They help to pay for everything in our budget from faculty and staff salaries, to instructional materials and equipment and capital and maintenance projects at our Mora Drive site. Income from tuition covers only 84% of our annual expenses. The remaining 16% comes from fundraising and other sources.
Approximately 80% of the school's annual budget funds people expenses - salaries and benefits for faculty and staff. The remainder supports school programs, classroom supplies, utilities, rent, insurances and site maintenance.
For the 2007/2008 school year, our Annual Giving Fund goal is $160,000. Our annual budget depends on the achievement of this goal.
The Annual Giving Fund runs on the school calendar year, from August 1 through July 31. Because the Waldorf School of the Peninsula is a nonprofit institution, every contribution to the Annual Giving Fund is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
We thank all of our supporters for their generous gifts and contributions throughout the years.
